WOYWW #167 - Just Monkeying Around

So here we are, Wednesday again and before I show you what’s on my desk this week I just want to apologize for not getting around to as many desks as I usually do last week.

I always make a point of returning a visit if someone visits me and also usually visit everyone who’s number ends the same as mine but last week I was plagued with eye troubles again and had to say away from the computer. I actually ended back up at Moorefield’s A & E on Thursday and the outcome of that is that I need some Laser treatment on the eye I had the detached retina in.

I did still manage a little crafting this week though and my desk is as it was left last night.

Most prominent on my desk is the card I’m in the middle of making.

It’s an easel card for a sixteen year old in shades of Pink and Brown and I’ve used two digi images that I’ve used loads of times and never grow tired of.

Also on the table are a couple of Marianne dies that I brought yesterday and a new Martha Stewart punch that just happened to jump into my basket as I was walking round. I wouldn’t mind, I only went out to buy some Pink and Brown papers, Lol!

There’s also a cute little guy trying to sneak in on the fun, can you see him?

This cheeky little chappie is one of six that I’ve stitched for the Kids Company project that I’m involved with and they are sitting on my desk waiting to be sent out to Switzerland for Nicki to make into the cushions.

You can see more of him and his five little mates getting up to all sorts of mischief over at  I’d Rather Be Stitchin’.

Don’t forget to stop by  The Stamping Ground  and add your name to list if you want to join in with this weekly desk hop and hopefully I’ll make it round to see a few more of you this week with a bit of luck, so until then.............

Happy Crafting!

Sue

Sorry to hear about your poorly eye. Hope it's soon mended. We crafters need our eyes. :)

We are intruguiged by all your interesting craft drawers and want to come and have a forage through them. How come other people's stash seems far more interesting than your own?

Good grief, Sue - that sounds fairly major! It's not until something vital like eyesight is in jeopardy that we really appreciate what being able to see is all about.... I hope that the treatment has helped anyway.
Love the little monkey but my eye was caught (sad person that I am) by the bling on top of the work...sigh, sorry!!

Hi Sue, so sorry to hear about your eye, hope it improves soon with the laser treatment. Love that Anya die on your work station, I have a smaller one and it is so beautiful. Don't do too much while your eye is sore.....

Oh Sue, I hope they can help you with the eye and quickly too. I'd say try not to craft too much but I know what I would do if given that advice, lol! Love your new bits and bobs, Christmas is never far from my mind I'm afraid! Pretty card on your desk and I love those dies you have out.

great desk...so busy and creative. Love the monkey he is so cute. That brown and pink card is drop dead gorgeous even in its state of undone! I think there is something going on with the Martha Stewart and EK Success punches too. I had 5 jump in my basket at TJ Maxx's the other day...they were marked down to $3.99 each and they just had to come home with me! Thanks for visiting my desk and commenting on my rat trap. That monkey looks so cute, but good grief, a detached retina!

It's amazing how they can just fix that now, like it's no big thing.

Heal well and quickly!

Hi Sue,

Good luck with the laser surgery. A friend of mine had a detached retina and had the surgery. He's doing very well and it was a total success.

You have lots of fun things on your desk. Thanks for visiting me already. Your name will go into the hat for the candy!

Hugs,
Kay

I hope your eye gets sorted out really quickly, must be awful for you.
The monkey is so cute and I love that card. These dies keep popping up on lots of desks, are they like a template that cuts out paper in a pretty pattern?
Have a great week and I'm glad you liked my ditty.
