WOYWW 211 – Hola!

Yes, I'm just back from sunny Spain after a wonderfully relaxing week in Moraira and I’m here to share my desk with you and what a stark contrast it is to the ‘desk’ I was working at last week.

This is the photo taken last Wednesday.

And here’s my desk at home this morning………..not much difference, err?
So as you can see, last week I was sat by the pool, a large glass of Pimms to hand, and cross stitching with that beautiful view over the valley to the coast of Moraira with temps of around 26 to 28 degrees to deal with and this week I have an enormous pile of ironing to tackle.

C'est La vie.................a small price to pay for the wonderful week I spent with my very good friends Susan & Edd, my two Goddaughters, Kelly & Nichola and 'Pip'. (Nichola is expecting)

There are still seems to be a lot of beautiful ATC arriving on peoples desks for the WOYWW Anniversary, so I’m off to   The Stamping Ground  to do a spot of desk hopping and then I don’t think I can put off the ironing for much longer.

See you later and …………

Happy Crafting!

WOYWW 209 – Here We Go Again!

All that anticipation over the 4th Anniversary celebrations for  What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday,   and can you believe that it all over. It flew by in a flash but didn't we managed to celebrate it in style.  An ATC swap and then there was a crop that some managed to get to, and good time was had by all I understand.

Unfortunately I couldn’t make it to the crop, but I made myself a promise that seeing as it was a special week I would visit each and every person that linked, mentioning WOYWW’s 4th Anniversary……… all 182 of you........mind you, there were a few duplicates in there because some peps forgot their *, but it was still a lot.
There were a couple of blogs that wouldn’t let me comment on for some reason, so if that was you I apologise, but for everyone else that mentioned the Anniversary I left a comment and they weren’t completely copy and paste messages either, I also added a personal line or two and it took my until Sunday afternoon to get round everyone.

I also had a record number of comments left for me too, 70 at last look so if you were one of those people, thank you so much, I appreciate it.

So, here we go with the start of a new year of desk hopping and looking forward to the 5th anniversary, and here’s the photo of my very first desk of the year.

Now, you’ll see as soon as you look at the picture that’s it’s been staged, but as soon as I had set it up I realised it was floored.

On the Left hand side of the table I had put my passport, sun cream, the battery from the camera charging and the camera itself, a hint that I’m going on my holidays on Friday. Then on the other side I laid out all the ATC,s that I’ve received so far.

So now I go to take the picture and yes, you’ve guessed it, the camera is on the table and the battery in the charger…….what am I like!      Take two…same set up minus the camera.

And here’s some close-ups of the beautiful ATC’s that have arrived so far.

From Annie (aka Wipso) at  A Stitch In Time

From Jo at  JoZart
From Sandra D at  Serendipity
From Jo (aka Twiglet) at  Twiglet
From Lisa at  Lisa’s Craft Garden
And last for the time being
From Karen at  Frayed Round The Edges,  who not only sent the ATC but some lovely die cuts as well.

Thank you ladies, they are all beautiful and each and every one of them is a little masterpiece in its own right.

There was also more than one comment regarding what exactly was in the packet and envelopes on my table last week.  I think it’s fine to show you now.

The envelopes of course contained the ATC’s that I was sending out and I decided to stick with something I know and cross stitched a little mini sampler.

I made twelve of these, all hand stitched which is why I had to start making them early.

The parcel was also a cross stitch that I stitched as a Thank You to   Jan  for making me the wonderful Knitting Needle roll a couple of months back.

The kit is called Bad Hare Day and as soon as I saw it I just knew I had to stitch it for Jan, seeing as she has a liking for Hares.

So that’s it for this week. As I said I’m away next week and won’t be able to join in because I don’t have an iPad and I’ve no idea how to do it on my phone yet.  Just imagine me sitting by the pool in Spain, doing my cross stitch and that will be my workspace for the week. There might also be a large glass of Sangria close by!!

I'll try and visit a few desks before I go but if I don't manage it I'll see you all when I get back.

Happy Crafting!

Sue
