WOYWW (#136)

An anniversary card is the order of the day, a Ruby Wedding one to be precise.

As you can see from the photo, the card is almost finished and as per usual all the things I’ve used to make it are still on the table, creating an every decreasing work space.

My Cuttlebug is out, along with the CD storage case that I keep my dies in, my Candi Cane is sitting in the drawer I use to store all my diamonties and gems and there’s several sets of stamps out too...........couldn’t decide which little flowers to use. You’ll also notice a couple of butterfly punches because again I couldn’t decide which one to use.

All this indecission I here you say.............it must mean I have way too many craft toys!

As if, Lol!

Anyway, once this card is finished I’ll be having a bit of a clear up and then it’s back to the Wedding Invitations.

I spoke to the bride on Thursday to see if she had her final list of guests ready and she mentioned that she would like to come and see me to discuss a couple of changes, so we meet up on Friday.

Turns out that she’d had second thoughts about the plain white card the invitation insert and RSVP is printed on and has decided that she wants it on Stardream instead.

So on Monday I went over to Craft Creations to get the new card stock (which you can see sitting on top of the drawers on the left) and now I need to make a new sample for her to ok before getting my teeth into it all again…….just as well I didn’t get very many of the RSVPs done last week because they all have to be scrapped now.

It’s not a problem because it’s important that she has everything exactly as she wants, but the down side to this is that she had already given me the ok on the first sample and I had brought everything I needed and started work on them.
Now I have to start from scratch because she’s also changed the wording and the colour of the text and she’s going to have to pay out again for the new card.

So that what’s going on in my neck of the crafting woods this week.

Why not join in with What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday and share the secrets of your work space with Julia and the gang.
We all love nothing better than having a good old nosy at what you’re up to at the moment.

I’ll be popping in later, so get the kettle on and have some virtual chocolate biscuits ready…….I’m so missing them since starting my diet back in October and this is the only way I can have them, Lol!

Happy Crafting!

Oh I nearly forgot to tell you that I had a bit of welcome news this week.
The card that I made for the Crafty Ribbons challenge last week was picked as one of their top three, so thanks girls, I’m glad you liked it.

It never fails to amaze me just how many toys and tools you girls can squeeze on one desk and still find a space to craft :-) A fab snoop today.
Hugs,

Enjoy the virtual choccie biscuits, Sue! I'm just having a cuppa. Good job you hadn't done too many of those RSVPs - hope they all go well. Surprising how much stuff we get out to make a card, isn't it? My WOYWW pics today are proof of that! - thanks for the peep at your workspace today (Hazel, WOYWW 67) x

It must be annoying that she has changed her mind after the go-ahead on the sample and I think you are being very magnanimous (ha ha, had to look that up to make sure it is the right word).
Have a good week crafting

Looks like you are very busy there, Sue. I think we are all guilty of having too many crafty things, a nice problem to have though.
You sound very calm with all the wedding chnages, I'm not sure I'd have been. I'd have been going to the shop with my teeth gnashing!!
Good Luck with it all.

Oh that's tricky when a client changes their mind like that. As long as you don't lose any money, that's the main thing...
Congrats on being in the top 3 for the card- hooray!
Hugs, LLJ #26 xx

Lovely patient Sue, you do not mention that the bride ought to be paying for the time you've already spent too, never mind just new card....bet you don't charge her. You're too nice! I actually had to stop and think about that statement about having too much stuff if you can't decide what to use...I may have to come up with a rational reason for this being incorrect. Right ow, I'm hiding from the truth of it!!

How frustrating for you - but as you say it is important for it to be right. Hope the final design goes well!! x Jo

I know exactly how it is with brides changing their mind... been there and I sympathise. I once made a short veil with yards and yards of fine satin bias all around the bottom of two layers. .... It was exactly as she had requested but she ended up with a long veil instead. UGH!!

I had to go check out your Top Three card and it was very lovely! A definite winner in my eyes.

I love your space and all the stuff you have out to play. Yes, the more we play the more we drag out. It is all part of the creative process, and the fun of it all.

Wowee - full creative gear here - too many tools and toys??? Never - enjoy and cherish them! Thanks for the peek in to your crafty space...Sarah at 6

You did handle that much better than I would have. One of the reasons that I shy away from commissions is because of that very thing. I make it...if they like it...they buy it...if not...I keep or give it away! All happy!
