The first WOYWW of 2012 (#135)

Can you believe that here we all are, congregating over at the Stamping Ground for Julia’s first WOYWW of the year, that’s What’s on your Workdesk Wednesday for those not on the know…..although I don’t believe that there’s anyone left out in blog land who hasn’t heard of WOYWW, Lol!

If I’m honest, I glad to see the back of 2011 and I’m looking forward to a quieter year ahead but it’s not had a good start so far.

I got up yesterday morning to find my Right knee has swollen to twice its usual size and I’m limping like an good ’ne at the moment.
Every so often I get a collection of fluid on my knees and have had to go and have it aspirated in the past (not very pleasant I can tell you) but for now it’s just a case of keep popping the Nurofen and rest it as much as I can in the hope it goes down by its self.

Fortunately it’s not stopping me from sitting at my table and working on the wedding invitations you can see on my desk this morning.

All the wallets are stuck together now and this afternoon my plan is to cut all the Navy card to size and print the RSVP’s, which should keep me quiet for a little while.

I also want to get my tax return sorted in the next couple of days so I’d best get a wiggle on if I want to get it in on time…..don’t want any nasty fines dropping through my door now, do I.

Happy New Year to all my WOYWW friends …..and anybody else who just happens by my blog……I hope 2012 is a good one for you.

Happy Crafting!
Sue

Oh no, I hope your knee's swelling goes down and you don't have to have it asperated...... I had a total knee replacement a few years ago. I am definitely glad that I did it but boy, was it painful!

Your workdesk looks nice and tidy and ready to work on the RSVPs.

I started looking at the WOYWW posts starting at #1 but thought since I'm "92" I should start from the bottom.... how do those people do it? Get in on this so early?

Happy New Year!

Let's hope your knee returns to normal without the need for intervention. That's not fun :(
I do like the wedding invitations - navy blue is a rather smart colour, a bit different too!!
I think the boys would prefer a knitted Aston Martin to a sidecar, but guess what, they ain't gonna get it! Lol!!
Happy New Year, Sue - hope it's a good one,
Hugs, LLJ #34 xx

Glad you can still keep crafting despite the bad knee. Not a good start to the New Year. I hope it gets better from now on. Those invitations sound good, please show us the finished articles. xx Maggie #73

Sounds nasty Sue. Take it easy and let's hope it goes back to normal quickly. Good luck with the invites - I think Annie is about to start making some for her DD. What fun! Happy New Year! x Jo

I'm sorry to hear your New Year has started with problems, Sue. I hope things settle down soon without any nasty treatment. This weather doesn't help either does it?
Still you look as though you are making good use of being confined. Good luck with all your Wedding creations.
Hugs Lisax

Lovely to pop in and see what you're up to - hope the work on the wedding invites went well today. Sorry to hear about the knee - hope the swelling goes down without having to be 'dealt with'. Thanks for the Christmas card. Happy New Year (Hazel, WOYWW 108) x

Big Hugs to you as a fellow knee sufferer! I had my knee operated on last year after tearing the ligament so know what knee pain is like!
Alot of invites there and nice to see navy instead of purple for a change. I had to make 80 invites last year and purple. My favourite colour but you can tire of it you know!!

If I over use my knee it swells ...not that I am that active very often lol but my son sufferered like that for a couple of years when he was young and it was finally resolved when a surgeon found an irritant imbedded in his cartilage. Its my ankle that swells and sitting at a desk or computer is very uncomfortable on those days so I am glad for you that your knee is no problem when sitting....but I have to say your desk is too tidy lol
Glad you had a chilled Xmas and New Year. xx

Oh Sue, I do hope your knee goes down OK. Fingers crossed for you!

Your workspace looks amazingly neat - and navy and white sounds brill for invites. I need to 'get a wiggle' on - as you would say - and start on a load which are aubergine and white. There's something a bit therapeutic about working on a little production line - now and then!

Happy WOYWW and Happy 2012 Sue! Di xx

Good luck with the invites and even more good luck with the Neurofen. Hope the swelling goes down and you don't have to have it drained off. Can imagine how painful that must be.
Keep it elevated (even if it means no crafting)

I'm very late sue, but nevertheless, hope you aren't in too much pain. One teeny consolation is that you know what's going on with your knee, at let you're spared the alarm of a new symptom...which after this year, is a blessing! Good luck with the invites, you are good to take on tha tsort of work- the thought makes me shudder!

So sorry to hear about your knee. I hope it rights itself shortly without having to be asperated (nope, doesn't sound pleasant). Your desk is very focused this week. I'm sure you'll whip those invites out in no time.

I hope your knee is feeling better - especially as its taken me so long to get around to the desks this week! I hope you weren't feeling bad for almost a whole week!

I love the colors on the cards, my cousin is using the same color, and its very lovely!
