Foot Soak anyone? WOYWW (#121)

That would be me then!

Oh yes, since seeing you all for last week’s What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday my poor little tootsies have done a far few miles in the name of crafting and I spent Sunday ambling around all the lovely stands at the Alexandra Palace Big Scrap and Stamp Show.
In the past I’ve usually gone on the Saturday but Sunday was much nicer, you could actually get to the stands and see what you were looking at without getting pushed and shoved from this direction and that….all very civilized I must say!

Needless to say I came home with a few new goodies and didn’t over do it for once, Lol, but can you spot the deliberate mistake?

My new stash includes, Distress Stains, two sets of Marianne spiral flower dies, a beautiful Lili of the Valley stamp and some of their die cuts, pin flair glue and glue dots, two bags of Christmas Card Candi, some Platinum Stickles and no less than five Masks to use with the Distress Stain......and eagle eyed amongst you will have noticed that one of the designs I’ve managed to buy from two separate stands...........what am I like!

Oh well never mind, I’ve decided to give it as blog Candi to one of my commenters this week so if you fancy having a play with a Christmas mask just leave me a comment and mention that you would like to win it and I’ll do a random draw and announce the winner next week.

So now onto my desk and what’s on it this week.

As you can see I’ve already been playing with some of the new stash and made a Christening card using the stamp, Flower dies and spotty mask.

I’ve also used the Sketch from Cutie Pie Challenge

The card for the lady who asked me about the wedding invitations last week and there’s some good news on that front too. She’s asked me to do them for her so I’ll have lots of work coming up but I don’t mind.

I’ve managed to track down the special card she wanted so my next job is to make a proof for her to sign off and then I can get stuck in. The wedding is in August next year so the bulk of the order can be done after Christmas but she would like to get her invites in the post in early January so the sooner I make a start on them the better………….so pleased I make an early start on the old Christmas cards now.

If you want to see more desks go and see head desk hopper Julia and she’ll set you on the right road to see the craft spaces of the world and I’ll be back next week to reveal who’s the lucky winner thanks to my stupidity.

Until then……….

Happy Crafting!

Sue

Update :- Well they say that generosity is returned twofold and that seems to be the case here.

Ally Pally has certainly turned out to be a lucky day out for me because I’ve just received an email from The Big Stamp and Scrapbooking Show team informing me that I have won the prize draw on the Particrafts stand…………and to think I wasn’t even going to bother filling out the slip.

Do I need to tell you all I’m a very happy bunny!

Gorgeous card! It's so cute :)
So... I have to ask - what's wrong with buying the same thing from two stalls? *lol* Just shows it's something you have to have - and so pretty you had to have it twice ... and it IS an absolutely beautiful mask.
Have a wonderful WOYWW!

I have once bought two of the same stamp at a show, so I do know how you feel! Your stash haul looks very restrained (compared to mine on the Saturday...)
Please include me for your duplicate giveaway!

Hi Sue, glad you had such a good time at Ally Pally. As for buying the same thing twice, I'm more than capable of similar sillinesses so I have my trusty little notebook with me at craft fairs, with lists of everything I've got in the back (e.g. colours of diff. things) and then I write down everything I want in the front, and tick them off as I go, and add anything that's not on the list. Call my organised? I'm not naturally - just trying to save myself from self-inflicted chaos lol!! I've just had the most fun ever at our local craft show in Exeter - you can see what I got on my blog, and photos of the show too. I got my first distress stains! Dying to try them out. Hop over and have a look at my fun day out, and also the mega fun I've had playing with Friendly Plastic pellets!

What a lovely card Sue but I find your worktop depressing - only because its so darn tidy and why can't I keep mine like that???? Congratulations on your win. I once bought a lovely Chanel lipstick got it home and put it in my drawer next to the same one I had already bought!!

That is a gorgeous card ...love the 3D baby. Congratulations on your win ...love the look of your new stash ...worth it even though you have sore feet lol.
So glad you bought two of the same masks ....I'd love a chance to win it ...it looks a very pretty Xmas one.
I am a little bemused by the wedding in August but invites out in January ...I thought it was 6-10 weeks before but things must have changed.xx

That must be so easy to do especially if a stall has a 3 for 2 offer or something. Most the time u pick something up just to qualify for the offer! I would encourage you to get ur Craft Robo out, I really love mine when he's not being naughty! Altho I can see from your purchases that u have a manual die cutter - I sold mine to fund 'Robo Cop' as he's become known so I don't have that fall back - I love the fact that I can cut almost anything out, any size without having to have the die first. I highly recommend the Silhouette Studio software, its loads easier to use than Robo Master and if you ran in to problems I'd be happy to help, I'm by no means an expert but I think its fair to say I know my round a PC! I also have about a million files I've prepped for cutting and kept just incase... A hoarder? Moi?!

Sounds like you had a great time at Ally Pally, Sue. Thats a great pile of lovely new stash to play with.
It's so easy to get carried away buying things when temptation is just everywhere isn't it. I have those spiral flower dies on my Christmas list, they make gorgeous embellies don't they.
The LOTV card is beautiful and congrats on the Wedding order, you'll be one busy crafter now.
Happy WOYWW

Well done for winning the prize, a real bonus after a good day. We have all been guilty of doubling up on items, either because we forgot what we already had or because we had lost the original. I am sure yours will find a very good home.
