Sort Out - WOYWW #199

Each week it amazes me that our weekly blog hop is growing bigger and bigger, with 170 wonderful crafters joining in with What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday, hosted by the lovely Julia over at The Stamping Ground. Just goes to show what a fun and sociable group of people us crafters are!

I’m hoping that this week on my desk visits I don’t come across too many friends that are having difficulties because of all the snow. The pictures on the TV are almost unbelievable and I don’t think I can ever remember a snowfall like that before.

My desk this week has nothing much at all on it other than a load of old Quickutz dies that I’m sorting out to put on ebay.

I’ve not used them for ages and all they do is collect dust in the cupboard, so I figured I’d try and sell some and use the money to buy some things I’m more likely to use, so if you’re into die cutting keep a look out over the weekend because there may be a few of the discontinued sort after ones in amongst them.

There’s not much else on the table to talk about really, just a mug of coffee and something to keep my neck warm………….it’s freezing sitting by this window sometimes.

So that’s it for another week.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter ………not too much chocolate now.

Happy Crafting!
Sue

So you have been die-cutting too. Hope the Bug lasts out over Easter for you.
Before you buy again consider what you want, what type of dies you will use, is there any point in getting a wide feed, is the handle easy to turn or should I go electronic?
Whatever you do don't go with a new product, wait at least six months for other people to buy them and use them, point out the good and bad things about them and see whether or not they are durable. Remember many of the Vagabonds all breaking down when folks got them at first? I hardly use mine as I am scared it will break - silly or what?
Also see if you can try some yourself, take what you want it to do with you (my friend did this with a new machine and it wouldn't do what they said it would so she didn't buy).
Thanks for visiting me - Happy Easter and Happy WOYWW - Hugs, Neet xx 1

HI Sue! Assuming you are in the UK - weather IS awful for the time of year isn't it? Had hoped to be in my garden by now but just want to stay in and craft!!

Good idea to sell some stash but I'm way too lazy to set it up! Good luck with your clear out, Happy WOYWW Cindy #91

Thanks for your lovely visit, Sue!

Love that dies-box of yours!
Death's Head Hawkmoths hardly ever wander that far north... and they are loners too. So if you meet one this is something quite special (in some countries organizations ask people to report to them in case they have seen one). The caterpillars are sooo big! Unbelievable, huh?

Have a wonderful WW!!!

Hugs,

Hi Sue. Good Luck with your dies. Sometimes it does us good to have a clear out doesn't it.
I wear a scarf permanently these days, in fact I've got two on at the minute as it's freezing and snowing again!!
Happy WOYWW and have a Happy Easter.

Hi Sue
Good luck selling the dies. I must have a clear out sometime. I've got 2 Quikcutx machines that have been relegated to the back of a cupboard! Thought they were great when they came out, haven't things moved on!
Many thanks for stopping by my blog. Happy WOYWW. Pam #21

I think that's a great idea selling your unwanted items to raise some cash for stash!! Hope they all fly out the door! All your bits and pieces look very interesting, you look as if you're having a grand time with it all ;)
Thanks for dropping by!

Good luck on your ebaying Sue. I took your advise and sold my knitting machine on there and it made enough to buy something towards our new home when we move :-)

I love that you're going to pick up some extra money by selling your older dies! I bought a discontinued die off Ebay awhile back, so there are definitely people out there looking for the older dies!! :)

I love your decorated tin on your desk very pretty. I think we could all do well to go through our stuff and sell what we don't use. As new things come in we use some other stuff less and less
Wishing you a very Happy Easter and a great day today

Looks like you're going to have a lot of dies left even after you sort them out Sue! If I sold my paper crafting stuff right now I think I'd be buying more wool not more paper crafts!
