When Julia over at The Stamping Ground first showed us what was on her desk 156 weeks ago she could never have guessed that it would go global and become the worldwide phenomenon that it has and now has close to 200 crafters playing along each week.
So here we are at its 3rd anniversary and by way of celebration there’s an ATC swap going on. Sadly I’m not able to join in with it this time but I still look forward to seeing everyone’s wonderful creations as they start to receive them.
And so to my desk this week and a wonderful piece of news that I will get to in a moment.
The long shot shows a table that’s not too messy for a change and an old toy, my Tag-a-Long, that’s not seen the light of day for some time.
At the front are some MME papers that I’m using to put a couple of card kits together. I have a ‘craft day’ planned for Monday with my special friend Lythan and when I go to her I never know what to take to play with, so this time I’m going to be more organized and take some kits with me.
I’m really looking forward to our day together but it’s going to be a sad one too because it’s the last time we will get together before she moves down to Torquay.
She tells me she has a guest room though, so I could be crafting by the seaside the next time we meet!
Sitting on top of my stack of drawers in front of my Distress Inks are the new re-inkers that I’ve just brought.
I brought the Spring set of ink pads and re-inkers a couple of weeks back and then read somewhere that they were also doing the re-inkers for the other two limited editions sets for a short while too so I ordered those as well.
Also on my table is my latest World of Cross Stitch and if any of you get this magazine you might just have seen me in there.
I wrote to them after the quilts and cushions for St Clare Hospice were finished and we presented them on Dad’s birthday last year.
Well, that was eleven months ago and it’s such a thrill to see it actually in print and to share the story of how the quilts came to be made and the help I had from my wonderful friends, because I couldn’t have done it without their help.
Well that’s it from me for another week.
Enjoy your swaps and I’ll be round as soon as I can to see what everyone is up to.
Happy Crafting!
Sue

Happy WOYWW! Lovely stuff on your desk - my favourite papers MME!
Congratulations on your magazine piece.
I spotted your x-stitch on your side bar - I am currently doing that one! There is a photo of me and that x-stitch could be me (when I was younger of course!)

Love your desk! I like having all the bins and containers right nearby like that. I love the container you have your distress inks in. Mine haven't found a home yet, they are still lurking here and there. I haven't gotten any of the distress ink reinkers yet, but I should get the new seasonal ones since they are limited edition. How cool that you are in a magazine! and what great friends you have!
love looking at your crafty desk today. Where did you find the ink pad holder that your Distress pads are housed in? I would love one of those for mine. Sorry I am late getting by but live jumped in and got my attention. Happy WOYWW #3. Thanks for sharing and stopping by my blog to comment. Vickie #178

Congratulations on being published. What a nice thing you did, too. I don't have any of the new reinkers, but that is all I buy. I never buy the stamp pads. Happy day after WOYWW from #2.
Happy WOYWW 3rd Anniversary
to you too Sue, and congratulations on your feature in World of Cross Stitch.Love the colours of the MME papers, and sizzlets dies, is it an alphabet set? Thanks for visiting me and commenting on my felt flowers, think I would need a production line to make any money from making them lol.

Hello!
Great workdesk! Congratulations on the article! I used to do so much cross-stitch and quilting - no time now it seems. We move to other things and have to decide what to work on! I just finished the quilt card and it brought back memories of my real quilts. Wishing you all good things this weekend!
Hugs,
Barbara Diane
